Vredenburg, business hub of the West Coast, is surrounded by quaint fishing villages and many interesting places to visit, such as the Fossil Park, West Coast National Park, or even an exciting night out at the Casino in Langebaan!
Each town (see West Coast Towns) has its own special attractions, from Hopefield with its famous annual flower show to whale and dolphin watching in St Helena Bay, where the first meeting between the Khoikhoi and the navigator, Vasco da Gama took place in 1497.
Paternoster, is famous for its crayfishing and fishing; nearby Cape Columbine Nature Reserve with the Columbine Lighthouse bursts in a kaleidoscope of colour during spring time.
Just little further on and you can wonder around Tietiesbaai where Pieter Pieterse lived and wrote many wonderful West Coast stories and delighted in sharing his seafood recipes.
There is so much to see and do on the West Coast. Our friendly staff at West Coast Travel will endeavour to make your holiday or business trip a memorable and pleasant one.
